Insulin Resistance and
        Weight Loss Obstacles

        by Jennifer Ruby

There are many thoughts regarding weight loss. Why do some people lose tons of weight on pasta's and veggie's, others on High Protein, and some counting calories, others carbs, and some, cannot hardly lose a pound to save their life???

Well there's the Blood Type theory... and that is probably very close.

But for those of us who have eaten HIGH Protein, and veggie's, Low carbs, but didn't lose the weight that should be lost, there may be another key that may turn the lock to weight loss.

        It's a Genetic Problem... Really!

People who cannot lose weight, actually store their glucose (usually around the middle) rather than utilizing it for energy. The amount of food we eat isn't as important as how our body uniquely converts it into fat.

So, what we really need to understand is how OUR body chemistry works, and what is different about it. Knowledge is Power!

Believe me, I've fasted for 6 weeks on raw vegetable juice, from organic vegetables that I juiced myself, fresh with a Champion juicer. At the end of 6 weeks, I'd only lost 10 pounds which was gained back the 2nd day. Probably was water weight. My problem now as I understand it was that I was juicing a LOT of carrots along with my apples, and beets along with my spinach. The root / tuber type vegetables are really high glycemic type vegetables, and when taken into the body, the glucose is turned into fat, instead of burned for fuel.

One thing our bodies do that other people's don't, is that we make generous portions of an enzyme called Amylase. When we eat high glycemic foods, these contain something called Amylose, which breaks down in our systems into glucose by our abundant production of Amylase! If we are to break this cycle, we need to quit feeding our bodies High Glycemic based foods. There is a wonderful pdf file for a little booklet of glycemic index that one can print, fold, staple and have to carry with them at:

Apparently, there is a drug that can help with glycemic problems, called Avandia. This is usually used as a Diabetic drug, which seems to not damage the liver. I don't know that much about this drug, as I usually try and do things with Homeopathy, rather than drugs. The key compound in Avandia that seems to make it active is Pioglitazone. I chose to order a Radionic remedy of this in a 3X, which I'm going to try for a while... If I can use this, along with a remedy of Amylase 10M, I may be able to get by without using the drug. At this point, all is experimental. I only know that this approach sounds more wise and promising than any of the other starvation diets, and long workouts that our skinny friends don't ever have to do.

This group of Thiazolidinedione family of Drugs, do one important thing: The all turn on a nuclear receptor in our body called peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma or, "PPAR" for short. We need this turned on. So, I've also ordered a PPAR Gamma 3X remedy to use with the Amylase and the Pioglitazone.

The other thing we need to know is to be sure to use GOOD Quality Oils. Essential Fatty Acids are so important. The Asian people credit a lot of their health and vitality, to drinking and using Young Coconut Milk in their foods. Not only does it make a great thickening sauce ingredient, but it has brain and nerve foods that can really help with other aspects of health than weight. These are usually under $1.40 at the Asian stores. They look White, kind of shaped like a little hut... not like your normal brown hairy coconut. Olive Oils are good. Grape Seed oils are good.

Well, I don't have all the answers, but I'm leaning very hard in this direction! It makes sense.

I'd love to receive your comments and suggestions.
