My husband dropped a 5 drawer lateral filing cabinet on his middle toe. How it only caught JUST this one toe is beyond me... but it turned totally dark black/purple within hours. It looked like he might lose his toenail. However, I gave him Heel/BHI's Traumed several times immediately, then began giving him a remedy called Verbena Hastata in a 4C. This is reputed in the MM to help reabsorb the blood in blood blisters and severe bruising.
He took this the first couple days following the injury, and already the first joint of the toe closest to the foot was almost back to normal coloring. Then, he continued to take this remedy (several times a day) for the next few days and his toe healed very nicely, and almost painless unless hit accidentally. In less than a week, it went from Dark black/red to light yellow/green to light bruised /healing coloration. For this intense of a deep bruise - one week is a miracle!
I'd say that these remedies have probably cut the healing time by two thirds at least.
Severe Bruising Again
I met my husband at Home Depot to pick up some materials for a job we're doing. He met me late in the afternoon with ice melting in his hand. He told me that he'd hit his finger with a hammer very hard as it was covered with tar (he was doing a roofing project). He was in a lot of pain. At dinner he repeatedly complained of pain, and when we arrived home, he actually asked me for a remedy that he'd taken previously when he'd dropped a fireproof filing cabinet on his toe. He remembered that remedy had reduced pain significantly, and helped the blood to reabsorb that had caused the deep bruising.
As before, I gave him Verbena Hastata in a 4C. This is reputed in the MM to
help reabsorb the blood in blood blisters and severe bruising. That night he took the remedy twice, and
again in the morning. The blood under the nail reduced somewhat but not completely,
but the pain and bruising significantly reduced. He reported at
breakfast that it felt a LOT better, and looked a little better in just those
few hours. He was very happy about this! His pain tolerance is very
high, and he is not usually the type of person to ask me for treatment, nor tell me when something has worked well.
Homeopathy is incredible!
